This modification communicates to EndNote that a blankline should be left after the reference and the contents of theAbstract field should be printed.Some of EndNote’s limita-tions are noted in the manual. Forexample, it cannot properly rear-range fields when no author islisted; it cannot automaticallychange “Ed.” to “Eds.” for workswith more than one editor; in textcitations, it cannot automatically remove the author name whenmore than one work by the sameauthor is cited. The lack of a spellcheck feature is somewhat of aninconvenience. However, I havefound that the many advantagesof using EndNote far outweigh itslimitations. In my opinion,EndNote is an easily understoodwriter’s tool that can enhance thepresentation of written material.
